Faults and solutions

When the following problems occur with your surfboard, please strictly follow the instructions below. Failure to operate in accordance with the contents of this manual may result in further damage to the equipment or even personal injury. If your problem still cannot be solved or the problem you encounter is not listed below, please contact Hobbywing customer service to apply for after-sales service.

stop running

Immediately release the trigger of the remote control and turn off the remote control, then lie on the board and paddle back to the shore with both hands.

  • Check the remote control. Turn on the remote control and check whether the Bluetooth icon is flashing. If it is flashing, restart the battery and perform Bluetooth pairing again. Remote control failure:
  • Check the battery. Check whether the battery mounting position is loose. If so, tighten the mounting screws and rotation lock. If there is no looseness, take out the battery and check whether the metal connections are corroded by seawater. If so, rinse the plug with fresh water, use rust remover to remove rust from the metal connections, and then wipe it dry. Finally, wash and dry the plug.

Battery failure

  • The indicator light flashes red. Over-current fault (red light flashes twice), over-temperature fault (red light flashes three times), Bluetooth fault (red light flashes four times) If the temperature is too high, please stop using it and wait for the battery to cool down before continuing to use it.
  • Charging problem. Check whether the indicator light of the charger flashes red: input power failure (red light flashes quickly), charger temperature overheating alarm (red light flashes 2 times quickly), output overcurrent alarm (red light flashes 3 times quickly), output overvoltage Alarm (red light flashes 4 times quickly). If the charger is in good condition, check that the charger's AC plug and DC battery port are well connected. If there is any looseness, tighten it.

Abnormal noise from motor

Immediately release the trigger of the remote control and turn off the remote control, then lie on the board and paddle back to the shore with both hands. Make sure the battery is disconnected, take out the battery, and check if there are any foreign objects in the propeller. If there is foreign matter, remove the propeller protective cover, clean the protective cover and propeller separately after removing the foreign matter.

Board shaking

Immediately release the trigger of the remote control and turn off the remote control, then lie on the board and paddle back to the shore with both hands. Check whether the battery, mast, and hydrofoil mounting positions are loose. If loose, tighten the screws in time.
